A Little History…
Proem was founded in post-communist Poland in 1990 by my friends, Maui and Ewa Dwulat. What began as a work of outreach and organizing summer camps for youth and teens, reaching across denominational, ethnic and political barriers, today, has broadened beyond imagination.
With a profound commitment of seeking to connect people to the hope and freedom found in Jesus, Proem developed correlative ministries, including: Proem Camps and Retreat Center, Proem Christian School, Proem Church Planting, and Proem Community Outreach.
Together these ministries serve children, youth, families and communities in Poland and beyond. In recent years, Proem has expanded its ministry, reaching as far as Greece, Ireland, Israel, Palestine, Zimbabwe and other Eastern European countries.
Proem Christian Center is located 60 miles from Warsaw, in central Poland, in the village of Zakosciele. A home to ministry offices, camps, conferences and workshops, the Christian Center is both beautiful (natural surroundings of tree-lined river banks) and historical (with portions built as early as AD 1082).
